The Hedleys College Awards is one of the most coveted dates in the calendar, allowing us all to celebrate the incredible achievements we’ve had over the year.

The evening began with a video showcasing some of 2024-2025’s highlights, including achievements in the Duke of Edinburgh award, employability work placements, Disability Awareness Training, award wins and more.

Local employers including , and took to the stage to present students with awards. These awards recognised the students who have excelled in areas such as Occupational Therapy, Social Enterprise and Health and Wellbeing.

Then, it was time for the much anticipated Principal’s Award. Personally selected by Principal Jo Rees-Proud, this award honours a student who has demonstrated exceptional achievement across multiple areas, shown remarkable growth in confidence, and consistently impressed peers and staff alike.

Attendees cheered as this was given to student James. James has played a key role in initiatives such as the Police Cadets, Disability Awareness Training, Golf Day, and made a huge impact during his work placement with Morgan Sindall Infrastructure.

The evening carried on with the excitement of the raffle draw, followed by everyone coming together on the dance floor to celebrate in style.

It鈥檚 been an incredible academic year at Hedleys College, and this event was a perfect moment to reflect on everything we’ve accomplished. We are immensely proud of our students and their achievements, and the dedicated staff who support them each day.
